September 30, 2019 – Classroom “Exam Equivalency Course” for Out of State GBR NASCLA Contractors
Florida Licensure for Out-of-State NASCLA General/Builder/Residential Contractors
This course is only available to out of state General, Builder or Residential Contractors who have successfully completed the NASCLA General, Builder or Residential contractor exam. Completion of this mandatory course and successful completion of the mandatory course proctored examination exempts the contractor from taking the TRADE portions of the General, Builder or Residential Florida State Exam only. This course does not exempt the contractor from the requirement of passing the Business and Finance portion of the Florida State Exam.
The student must present proof of passing a NASCLA General, Builder or Residential contractor exam, present a government issued photo I.D. plus one other form of identification prior to being administered the exemption examination. The six (6) hour course consists of a review of the Florida Code Codes. The course begins a 7:30 am. A three (3) hour proctored paper and pencil examination will be conducted following the course. Students are allowed one (1) retake at no additional charge when taken the same day. Examination fees on other days are a separate fee.
Course cost including same day testing, initial and retake testing is $699. The mandatory pass/fail examination consists of 100 questions. The student must score at least a 70 on the exam to be successful.
