EPA now requires contractors performing renovations, repairs, alterations, painting including window and door replacements, sheetrock, floor repair, tile, all exterior work, siding, soffits, etc. disturbing lead-based paint to be licensed. All contractors working on all pre-1978 housing/child-occupied facilities shall have lead certification training. Included are maintenance, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, carpentry, general, building, residential and other trades disturbing lead based paint in any manner whatsoever. There are severe fines for failure to be licensed.

The EPA requires an eight (8) hour pass/fail course. A photograph is also required for licensure and is taken at class. All information is forwarded to EPA. Licenses are normally generated within a few days. All license fees are included. Please call if you have questions.

***IMPORTANT***
EPA Certification is good for most States.  Contractors working in these states: Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin, or in the Bois Forte Tribe should contact the respective state or tribe for more information about their training and certification requirements.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO ANYONE FROM THE ABOVE STATES WHO TAKE THE COURSE AND FIND OUT THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO WORK IN THEIR STATE.
